A $10,000 reward is on the table for information leading to a conviction in a recent case of arson in Sunflower County. The sheriff’s department announced the incentive this week for anyone who could provide particulars about a fire that burned a hunting lodge to the ground around March 25 or March 26.
Deputies from the Sunflower County Sheriff's Department were called to the burned camp on Dement Road at 11:47 a.m., on March 26 where a Jackson man said that at sometime between 2 a.m., on the 25th and 5 a.m., on the 26th, someone broke into the structure and stole firearms, ammunition and possibly other items before setting the structure ablaze.
Anyone who has any information is urged to contact the Sunflower County Sherriff’s Department at 662-887-2121.
