Indianola police are still investigating a Monday morning shooting that left one man injured and recovering in a Jackson area hospital from multiple gunshot wounds.
So far two arrests have been made in the case and according to Investigator Irish Johnson, more arrests will be made. Johnson said they arrested the victim’s wife Sibyl Walker-Redmond, 55, 119 Curtis Street and she is charged with aggravated assault.
Also arrested was Lashanta Dean, who was reportedly charged with hindering prosecution.
The two had their initial appearance on Tuesday and Walker-Redmond’s bond was set at $100,000 and Dean’s bond was set at $35,000. Johnson said on Wednesday that both had bonded out.
The victim was shot several times and was airlifted.
Details about the shooting are sparse, but the incident reportedly happened around 9:30 a.m., at the Curtis Street residence.
