Indianola police made the following arrests:
On Tuesday at 3:21 a.m., Willie Joe Cain, 51, 110 Torino Drive was arrested and charged with trespassing after notice of non-permission and disorderly conduct (failure to comply with police) after officers were called to the Double Quick in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 82 about an unwanted person who was trespassing and shoplifting. He also reportedly went behind the cashier's counter.
On Sunday at 5:06 p.m., Orlando Deon Gibson, 44, 609 7th St., Leland was arrested and charged with grand larceny ($500 or more) after officers were called to the Dollar General Distribution Center about a theft. Gibson was reportedly seen taking over $1,100 worth of merchandise.
On Tuesday at 12:53 a.m., Vontrellis Lemonte Coleman, 34, 635 Garrard Ave., was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. He was arrested while officers were patrolling the Church Avenue area looking for three suspects in relation to a previous incident. Officers reportedly seized a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm foldable carbine and two magazines.

On September 20 at 7:30 a.m., officers were called to the 900 block of U.S. Highway 82, Quality Inn hotel, where a man said that an unknown person cut two of the tires on his vehicle.
On Tuesday at 1:42 a.m., a 39-year-old Roosevelt Street woman said someone tried to break into her daughter's bedroom window, but ran away once he realized her daughter was not alone in the room. She said the person also threw a rock through the bedroom window.
On Monday at 1:16 p.m., a 67-year-old West Percy Street woman said someone broke into her 2021 Hyundai Venue, but apparently nothing was taken.
On September 20 at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a domestic situation in the 600 block of Hough Street where a 33-year-old Hough Street woman said that her husband, a 34-year-old Hough Street man, grabbed her by her throat and choked her.
On September 21 at 2:41 p.m., a 53-year-old Barack Obama Avenue, Ruleville woman said a 50-year-old Irby Street, Greenville woman constantly calls her phone and makes threatening statements to her.
On Tuesday at 1:06 a.m., officers were called to the South Sunflower County Hospital where a 25-year-old Walker Street man said that he was assaulted while walking home from Murphy's. He said some guys jumped out of an unknown vehicle and assaulted him.
On Sunday at 10:59 p.m., an 18-year-old B.B. King Road man said that a 20-year-old Alexander Street man robbed him of his iPhone 12 valued at $565 at gunpoint. He said he gave the man a ride to Johnson Street and once on Johnson Street the man pulled a gun on him and demanded that he give up the phone.
On Tuesday at 2:38 a.m., officers responded to the Murphy's USA gas station about a burglary where reportedly a man threw a brick through the glass door, went inside and took an unknown amount of Newport cigarettes.
On Saturday at 8:30 a.m., a 56-year-old Church Avenue man said someone broke into his 2015 Mack semitractor/truck and stole reflectors, a fire extinguisher a $260 converter gear trailer, and a $460 GPS system.
On September 18 at 2:32 p.m., a 29-year-old South Elmwood Circle woman said that at approximately 1:54 p.m., she was in the drive-thru at McDonald's and the McDonald's sign fell onto her 2015 Nissan Altima and damaged it.
On Thursday at 1:22 a.m., a 25-year-old Moody Avenue woman said that her boyfriend, a 49-year-old Maple Street, Moorhead man, assaulted her at her home.
On Sunday at 1:42 p.m., an East Percy Street woman said that someone broke into her business–Life-Changing Adult Day Care–in the 400 block of Roosevelt Street and stole a TV valued at $500.
On September 17 at 10:09 p.m. officers were called to the 100 block of Main Street about an assault and found a 52-year-old woman with a black eye. However, the woman refused to give officers any information as to what happened.
On Sunday at 3:59 p.m., a 66-year-old Coolidge Street woman said that while she was lying in bed on the north side of her home she heard a noise and later determined that someone had shot through the north side window of her bedroom from the outside. Officers reportedly took eight 40-caliber shell casings into evidence.
On Sunday at 5:18 p.m., a 28-year-old Byron Street, Ruleville woman said a 23-year-old Cherokee Lane woman broke the windows out of her 2017 Hyundai and also hit her with her 2020 Nissan Altima.
On September 21 at 9:21 a.m., officers responded to the Love's Travel Stop on U.S. Highway 82 because of a disturbance and were told that two employees had gotten into a fight. A 28-year-old West Washington Street Moorhead woman is the reported victim and a 28-year-old Seven Oaks Road, Leland woman is the reported suspect.
On September 21 at 7:30 a.m., a 75-year-old Stuart Street man said someone stole a tire off of his 2008 Pontiac G6.
On September 20 at 12:23 p.m., an 85-year-old Franklin Street, Isola woman said that while she was shopping at Walmart she turned her back to grab an item from the shelf and someone came and took her black purse out of her shopping cart.
On September 21 at 2:52 a.m., a 19-year-old Jane Street, Cleveland woman said someone cut one of her vehicle tires in the 900 block of U.S. Highway 82 in front of the Hampton Inn.

On Thursday at 7:26 p.m., Darrius Delon Dabney, 25, 106 Robinson St., Belzoni was arrested and charged with DUI (intoxicating liquor, drugs or control substances).
On Thursday at 8:16 p.m., Byron Lavarius Butler, 24, 218 West Second St., Leland was arrested and charged with DUI (intoxicating liquor, drugs or controlled substances).
On Thursday at 8:15 p.m., Darrell Patrick Bailey, 45, 118 Charlie Ellis Road was arrested and charged with DUI (first offense).
On Friday at 10:56 p.m., Julian Zuniga, 19, 1010 Elzy Ave., Lot 3, Sunflower was arrested and charged with DUI (intoxicating liquor, drugs or control substances) and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
On Sunday at 7:06 p.m., Keita Kitchens, 41, 12318 North Mason, Chicago, Illinois was arrested and charged with DUI (first offense).
On Sunday at 7:36 p.m., April Shrader, 43, 109 South Sharp Ave., Suite 3-B, Cleveland was arrested and charged with no/expired tag, DUI (first offense) and reckless driving.
On Sunday at 7:50 p.m., Barry Walston, 37, 504 Main St., was arrested and charged with DUI Second offense and suspended driver's license.
On Monday at 8:32 p.m., Linnie Lenard Hall, 22, 140 Kendall Drive, Belzoni was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon on an educational property.
On Tuesday at 12:57 a.m., Vontrellis Lemonte Coleman, 34, 635 Garrard Ave., was arrested and charged with simple assault, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and simple assault (to put fear by physical menace).
