During the past two weeks Indianola police made the following arrests:
On Oct. 21 at 10:41 p.m., Tavarus Earvin, 39, 1105 Garrard Ave., was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct (failure to comply with police). The incident reportedly stemmed from a damaged vehicle where the victim decided not to do a report, but became irate with officers and used profanity.
On Oct. 21 at 12:21 p.m., Jaquavius Hawkins, 19, 127 Easy St., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (failure to comply with the requests or commands of law enforcement officers). Officers were called to the Virginia and Elaine streets area about a person riding a dirt bike, which resulted in the filed charge.

On Oct. 19 at 6:38 a.m., a 43-year-old Broadmoor Drive woman said her ex-husband, a 39-year-old Azalea Drive man, came to her home and damaged her 2014 Nissan Maxima.
On October 20 at 10:39 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Oak Street because of a report of shots fired. A 53-year-old Oak Street woman said her mother's home was hit by gunfire because there were two small holes in the front of the house that weren't there before.
On Oct. 21 at 8:19 p.m. 20-year-old Shaklin Road, Isola woman said a 20-year-old Lee Street man sexually assaulted her in the 300 block of Johnson Avenue. The woman said the man began by rubbing and kissing on her back so she told him to stop, but he kept on and also proceeded to touch other parts of her body and put his hand inside of her pants.
On Oct. 19 at 11:02 p.m., a 33-year-old Wiggins Road woman said that she and a 42-year-old Wiggins Road man got into an argument that led to the man physically assaulting her. The man said that the woman attacked and scratched him; however, neither wanted to press charges on the other. Both are listed as suspect and victim.
On Oct. 23 at 12:44 p.m., a 27-year-old Herman Johnson Street woman said her Michael Kors purse was stolen and a 24-year-old Pine Street Moorhead woman assaulted her on Church Avenue.
On Oct. 17 at 2:51 p.m., a Dorsett Drive woman said a 70-year-old Indywood Personal Care Home resident was conned out of $4,554.29 by someone she met on Facebook.
On Oct. 16 at 12:24 p.m., a Spoonbill Court woman said a man stole her Luger 9mm handgun out of the armrest of her 2017 Nissan Altima. She said the man washed her car and when she got her car back the gun was missing.
On Oct. 20 at 6:08 p.m., a 25-year-old Janet Davis Circle woman said that a 42-year-old Janet Davis Circle man used an expletive that refers to a female dog and told her that she was the problem while pointing his finger in her face and touching her nose. The woman said that when the man poked her in the eye that's when the fight started.
On Oct. 19 at 4:15 p.m., officers were called to the South Sunflower County Hospital about a gunshot victim. A 23-year-old Moore Street, Inverness man said that someone shot at his 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe hitting him in the left side. A 31-year-old Lincoln Avenue woman is also listed as a victim.
On Oct. 22 at 3:03 a.m., a law enforcement officer spotted a white 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driving recklessly on U.S. Highway 82 West. A 31-year-old Pat Avenue, Inverness man reportedly received a citation for reckless driving and carrying a concealed weapon. He was charged and released.
On October 20 at 6:51 p.m., a 71-year-old Maybelle Street woman said two girls told her that they kicked the door in on her storage shed because they thought a boy who took something from them ran in there.
On Oct. 25 at 10:17 a.m., a Hampton Inn employee said that a 41-year-old Brown Road, Cleveland woman came into the hotel and fraudulently reserved a room for someone using a Dollar General corporate employee card.
On Oct. 23 at 1:22 p.m., a 24-year-old Pine Street, Moorhead woman said that she was assaulted by a 27-year-old Stonewall Drive woman in the 500 block of Hough Avenue.
On Oct. 22 at 1:16 p.m., a 49-year-old Jefferson Street man said that he was recording a 49-year-old Jefferson Street woman as she was making statements about his mother and the woman swung at him causing his phone to hit him in the face.
On Oct. 23 at 5:20 p.m., a 34-year-old Brantley Circle woman said a 37-year-old Brantley Circle man assaulted her.
On Oct. 23 at 1:09 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Porter Drive because of a threatening and property damage. A 29-year-old Spruce Street man said a 45-year-old Charlie Ellis Road man threatened to stab him and a 52-year-old Porter Drive woman said the 29-year-old man damaged her front door while running from the 45-year-old man.
On Oct. 22 at 12:39 p.m. officers responded to Los Mocajetes Mexican Restaurant because of a fight in progress involving a group of people. A 40-year-old Jordan Drive woman, a 22-year-old Lake Street, Tupelo woman, a 19-year-old West Point, Miss. woman, a 25-year-old Old Brandon Road man and another man are listed as both victims and suspects.
On Oct. 25 at 3:37 p.m., a 40-year-old West Shaw Avenue woman said another woman threatened to cause her bodily harm.
On Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the Planters Bank on Catchings Avenue where a 51-year-old North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive woman was the victim of credit card fraud in the amount of $5,895. A Boyle, Miss. woman is the reported suspect.
On Oct. 29 at 2:17 p.m., a 47-year-old Jeff Davis Circle man was reportedly arrested and charged with public drunkenness after officers were called to the 100 block of Front Avenue about someone sleeping in public.
On Oct. 28 at 8:57 p.m., a Domino's employee said he delivered a pizza to a 60-year-old Fasonia Avenue man, but after he could not change a $100 bill for the man, the man pulled a gun on him and threatened him.
On Oct. 29 at 4:22 p.m., someone said that a 57-year-old Roosevelt Street man assaulted a 57-year-old Lincoln Avenue man with a beer bottle in the 200 block of Front Avenue.
On Oct. 27 at 7:10 p.m., a Johnny Russell Drive woman said that a 30-year-old Oak Street woman threatened her 15-year-old daughter.
On Oct. 28 at 3:35 a.m., a 62-year-old Stonewall Drive man said someone broke into his store in the 200 block of Front Avenue by pulling some tin material back and punching a hole in some plywood. The list of stolen items is pending.
On Oct. 28 at 10:03 a.m., a State Avenue woman said someone broke into her home by damaging a glass storm door, valued at $50, and stole a 55-inch Samsung TV valued at $600. The woman said her son called her and told her that someone had broken in and that her TV was missing.
On Oct. 28 at 7:00 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Porter Drive where a 52-year-old Porter Drive woman said her nephew, a 29-year-old Spruce Street, Moorhead man, kicked in the front door of her home, which caused damage to the frame of the door.

On Oct. 25 at 2:14 p.m., Cynthia Jewell Hawthorne, 41, 315 Church Ave., was arrested and charged with credit card fraud, (used to obtain things of value and to operate automatic cash machines with the intent to defraud).
On Oct. 25 at 9:07 p.m., Nell Davis, 24, 422 Pond Avenue, Doddsville was arrested and charged with prohibitions generally (introduction of contraband onto Parchman grounds).
On Oct. 28 at 8:42 p.m., Tonya Dunlap, 38, 215 Cliff Finch St., Sunflower was arrested and charged with trespassing after notice of non-permission.
On Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m., Jason Allen Oswalt, 47, 117 Jeff Davis Drive, was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court and public drunkenness.
On Oct. 30 at 12:52 p.m., Michael Terrell Thomas, 22, 810 Maple St., Moorhead was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.
On Oct. 31at 4:42 p.m., Evon Brown-Bass, 53, 316 Robertson Drive, Ruleville was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court.
On Oct. 31at 5:23 p.m., David Lee Johnson Sr., 63, 401 West Sunflower Road, Ruleville was arrested and charged with no/expired driver's license, seat belt violation, DUI (third offense) and no insurance.
