Indianola police made the following arrests,
On Aug. 22, Edward T. Clay, 31, was arrested and charged with petit larceny (under $500), three counts of simple domestic violence and simple assault causing bodily harm.
On Aug. 22, Dennis Graves, 55, was arrested and charged with simple assault with injuries.
On Aug. 22, Donnell Graves, 42, was arrested and charged with simple assault with injury.
On Aug. 22 Dontae Jabari James, 36, 12 Kim Herman Cove was arrested and charged with probation violation.
On Aug. 22, Cheryl Simms, 47, 358 Fava Drive, Greenville was arrested and charged with failure to yield to blue lights, reckless driving and seatbelt violation. At 11:30 a.m., police were called to U.S. 82 about a 2001 white S-10 pickup that was being driven recklessly.
On Aug. 22, Tammie Washington, 55, was arrested and charged with shoplifting (second offense).
On Aug. 23, Damon Dwayne Bailey, 24, 118 Charlie Ellis Road was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—failure to comply and resisting arrest. At 2:08 a.m., police were called to the 200 block of Gillespie Drive about a suspicious person wearing a white tank top and black shorts getting in and out of an abandoned maroon Chevy Impala. The victim is listed as a 23-year-old Palace Street, Greenwood man, and two Gillespie Drive residents are the listed complainants.
On Aug. 23 Michael Cannon, 27, was arrested and charged with simple domestic violence with injury.
On Aug. 23, Alex Dione Gardner, 18, 2001 Wiggins Road was arrested and charged with simple assault on a minor.
On Aug. 23, police arrested Dustin Lloyd Belk, 26, 961 County Road 416, Woodland, MS and charged him with having improper equipment and carrying a concealed weapon. At 12:43 a.m., while on a traffic stop, near Pizza Hut, for a missing headlight, police spoke with Belk and later arrested him. The report indicates a black Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun was seized.

On Aug. 22 at 7:01 p.m., police were called to Walmart about a shoplifting where a 55-year-old Hoover Street woman was named as the suspect and booked. The report lists two pair of jogging pants valued at $29 as stolen.
On Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m., a N. Southwest Plaza woman told police that someone removed two handguns, a 9mm Beretta and a .380 Ruger, from her home along with a box of ammo.
On Aug. 22 at 1:36 p.m., a 38-year-old Maybelle Street woman told police she wanted to file harassment charges on a 38-year-old Broadmoor Drive woman.
On Aug. 22 at 3:48 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Johnson Street about a disturbance where a 33-year-old woman is listed as the victim and a 19-year-old Jody Thurman Street Belzoni man is listed as the suspect.
On Aug. 23 at 8:24 p.m., a 65-year-old Hough Street man called police to the 700 block of the street and told them that someone had kicked the door in on his home. The report indicates that a washer, couch, bed, and restroom items were stolen.
On Aug. 23 at 6:14 p.m., a 21-year-old Kinlock Road woman told police that her cousin, an18-year-old Kinlock Road man, stole $300 from her and when she asked him about it they got into a fight.
On Thursday at 7:45 p.m., a 24-year-old Moody Street woman told police that someone stole her wallet out of her vehicle on Aug. 23 and her credit cards have been used at several places in Indianola, so far to a value of $252.
On Thursday at 9:16 a.m., a 53-year-old woman called police to the 100 block of East Percy about an auto burglary where someone went into her 2003 Mercedes Benz and rambled through her belongings.
On Friday at 10:51 a.m., a woman told police that someone went into one of her empty rent houses in the 600 block of Curtis Street by kicking in her side door and took the kitchen sink and the countertop.
On Friday at 3:30 p.m., a 24-year-old Church Street woman told police she was assaulted by a 27-year-old Bates Street woman and one other woman on Mill Street behind George’s Lounge.
On Friday at 11:48 a.m., police were at Walmart to do a follow-up on a report when they were told that a 46-year-old Bratton Street, Belzoni woman walked out of the store without paying for several items. Police found the woman, identified her and found out that she has shoplifting charges at Walmarts in other cities, so she has been banned from Walmart and charged with shoplifting and trespassing. The report lists five scoop tees stolen valued at $17.
On Friday at 6:08 p.m., a 23-year-old Wiggins Road woman told police she wanted to file charges on a 30-year-old Garrard Road woman for threatening her.
On Saturday at 8:48 a.m., a 50-year-old South Walker Circle woman told police that someone stole her tan Buick LeSabre from the 600 block of U.S. 82. The report listed no suspect at the time.
On Saturday at 1:38 p.m., a 27-year-old Walker Street woman told police she wanted to file a complaint against a 35-year-old East Herman Johnson Street man who threatened her by saying he would kill her.
On Saturday at 5 p.m., a Gillespie Drive man told police that on Aug. 23, around 10 p.m. he heard 12 shots being fired in the 100 block of Gillespie and when he moved his car on Saturday he noticed several bullet holes in his 2001 Ford Focus and two of the holes were in his radiator.
On Sunday at 9:36 a.m., a 33-year-old College Avenue man called police about a stolen Toyota T100 pickup.
On Sunday at 8:53 a.m., a 27-year-old Tolbert Street, Ruleville man called police to the 900 block of Bellevue Drive and told them that someone went into his unoccupied house and snatched his air conditioner out of a kitchen window.
On Sunday at 6:34 p.m., police were called to Turners Downtown Market about a worthless check that was allegedly passed by a 59-year-old Parkway Street, Greenwood man.
On Monday at 2:30 p.m., police were called to Walmart about a shoplifting where a 40-year-old Middleton Road, Winona man and another person were seen on video surveillance hiding items and switching tags for cheaper price. Both left Walmart without paying for the items. The report lists $236 worth of items stolen.
On Monday at 1:13 p.m., a 32-year-old Wiggins Road woman called police to the 500 block of Mimosa Street about a stolen 2012 gray Nissan Maxima and a Samsung cell phone.
On Monday at 4:56 p.m., police were told that someone attempted to sexually assault a nine-year-old girl as she was walking home from school.
On Monday at 5:44 p.m., while on patrol in the Roosevelt and Pershing streets area, police noticed a 27-year-old Roosevelt Street man holding and rolling what appeared to be a marijuana cigar. After speaking to the man, they saw that he was holding a brown tobacco wrapper containing a green leafy substance that appeared to be marijuana so he was issued an appearance citation. The report indicated 0.3 grams of marijuana was seized.
On Monday at 3:45 p.m., police were called to Community Bank regarding forgery involving relatives. The report lists two women as victims and the suspect as a 22-year-old Cypress Drive woman.
