On Friday at 4:15 p.m., Lamont Estebaun Denton, 35, 313 Chandler Street was arrested and charged with shoplifting (first offense) after the manager of the Shoppers Value Foods store said they saw him hide several items including a Little Debbie honey bun in a grey backpack and leave the store without paying for them.
On Sunday at 2:13 p.m., Cassandra Beckworth, 37, 402 Hampton Street was arrested and charged with failure to obey officer after police were called to the White Rose Cafe about an unwanted person.

On Thursday at 10:29 p.m., a 26-year-old South Winchester Avenue, Chicago man, who was being transported to the Sunflower County jail on possession of marijuana charges, would not stop using profanity after being asked several times by police so he was charged with disorderly conduct failure to comply.
On Friday at 12:20 p.m., an Oak Street man said the rear window on his vehicle got damaged in the 400 block of Jefferson Street, but he doesn't know how.
On Friday at 7:01 a.m., a Birdsong Street woman said she found a red and black Murray lawnmower in her backyard, but it is not hers.
On Monday at 6:46 a.m., a MS 442, Doddsville man said he found a pump action shotgun in the driveway of Tri-State Leasing on U.S. 82.
On May 8 at 3:58 p.m., a MLK Drive man said his sister, a B.B. King Road woman, is withholding $12,000 from him, from his mother's estate.
On Monday at 8:09 a.m., a North Noble Street man said someone broke into his U.S. 82 business, damaged the doorframe and stole a white chest freezer, a TV, a cash register, a 32-inch flat screen TV and an AC window unit with a heater.
On Monday at 6:56 a.m., a Birdsong Street resident said someone broke the window out of a 2009 Pontiac G6 that was parked in the 100 block of the street.
On May 8 at 6:39 p.m., a Walmart employee said a 49-year-old South Walker Street woman was trespassing and shoplifting.
On Monday at 6:57 p.m., an East Percy Street woman said her brother, a 62-year-old East Percy Street man, threatened her.
On May 5 at 1:12 p.m., an Oak Street, Inverness man said that sometime after 1 a.m., someone came onto the lot of Traditions Auto Sale on U.S. 82 near MS 49 and took the left rear wheel and tire from one of the vehicles, a Chevrolet and tried to take the radio out of a Camaro, but was unable to do so.
On Thursday at 12:59 a.m., a Double Quick employee said someone stole a 12-pack of Bud Light beer from the Second Street store.
On May 6 at 3 a.m., a North Sunflower Avenue woman said a 31-year-old West Herman Johnson Street man damaged her 2009 Nissan Altima by ramming into it.
On May 8 at 8:16 p.m., a Church Street woman said that a 36-year-old Curtis Street man assaulted her near the free park on Church Street because of an argument over the price of a beer.
On Monday at 3:01 p.m., a Robinson Street, Belzoni woman said a 53-year-old Martin Lake Road, Isola man was harassing her at the Dollar General Store.
On May 9 at 3:24 p.m., a woman said that the window on her GMC Yukon truck was damaged by an employee cutting the grass in the 800 block of B.B. King Road at Gentry High School.
On Monday at 10:58 a.m., a city of Indianola employee said he damaged a power line in the 500 block of Grand Avenue while operating the city's boom truck picking up trash.
On Monday at 1:50 p.m., a Waco Road, Inverness woman said she has told a 31-year old Chandler Street man several times not to come to her home, but he keeps trespassing.
On Monday at 5:40 p.m., a Clay Street woman said a 31-year-old Chandler Street man assaulted her on Mill Street because she called the police on him earlier in the day.
On May 8 at 10:27 a.m., a Robinson Street, Belzoni woman said she damaged the front passenger side tire and rim as well as a front bumper on her 2007 Chrysler while driving on B.B. King Road towards MS 49 where she hit several potholes in the road. The woman said she was unable to dodge the potholes because another vehicle was coming towards her.
On Thursday at 1:02 p.m. a Turner's Downtown Market employee said someone gave them a counterfeit $100 bill.
On May 9 at 1:43 p.m., a Beaverdam Road woman said someone damaged her 2002 Honda Odyssey.
On Monday at 5 p.m., a B.B. King Road woman said her ex-boyfriend, a 36-year-old Pecan Street, Rolling Fork man, keeps harassing her by texts and phone calls after she has asked him more than three times to stop contacting her.
On Saturday at 4:49 p.m., a Mimosa Drive man said that his 2012 Nissan Altima was broken into and his Draco rifle, valued at $659 was stolen from the back seat.
On May 8 at 8:50 a.m., a Main Street man said his niece’s house, in the 100 block of Cox Street, was broken into but nothing was reported missing. The man said he doesn't know the date or the time the burglary occurred.
On May 8 at 6:38 p.m., a 15-year-old Chapman Street girl and a 14-year-old Spoonbill Court boy got into a fight on Crane Street.
On Monday at 3:16 p.m., a B.B. King Road woman said a 29-year-old Gholston Street, Inverness woman broke the back window out of her Quest minivan near Seymour and Azalea streets.
On Friday at 12:38 a.m., a Porter Drive woman said someone broke into a house in the 2500 block of Garrard Avenue and stole a 5,000 BTU room air conditioner.
On Friday at 9:15 a.m., a South Walker Circle woman said someone scratched the “B” word into the hood of her 2011 Dodge Avenger while it was parked at the Gentry High school campus near the gym.
On Friday at 11:58 a.m., a Guaranty Bank employee said someone passed them a counterfeit $100 bill.
On Monday at 12:28 p.m., a Jefferson Davis Drive woman said she lost her wallet while shopping in Indianola.
On Monday at 8:49 a.m., A Duncan Circle man said someone stole a Frigidaire 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit out of the window at Brownlee’s Appliance repair on U.S. 82.
On May 5 at 12:34 p.m., a B.B. King Road woman said that someone broke into a shed at Riverside Memorial Gardens about 3 months ago and stole two VA bronze plates for headstone valued at $950.

On Thursday at 2 p.m., Willie D. Bell, 55, 600 Porter Drive was arrested and charged with failure to register under the sex offender registration laws.
