Services for David Dewayne Gardner of Memphis, formerly of Indianola, were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gardner, 56, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
Apostle Tony Wade will officiate at the services.
Mr. Gardner is survived by: his wife, Stephanie Gardner; son, Brandon Gardner; three daughters, Zaharia Thomas, Si’Arie Jordan and A’Davias Gardner; two brothers, Derrick and Cedric Rice; three sisters, Regina McCann, Tarnisha Gardner and Yolanda Elverton; one grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
