Services for David E. Monroe of Indianola were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Monroe, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Cedric Reed officiated at the services.
Mr. Monroe is survived by: his wife, Shirley A. Monroe; two sons, David E. (Tequila) Monroe and Sherman M. Monroe; one daughter, Sherease M. Monroe; four sisters, Annie Jones Clay, Bernice Horton Alexander, Mildred Cartlidge and Patricia (Eugene) Snipes; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
