A final, and very critical, District 1-4A baseball series is next up on the Indianola Academy Colonels schedule.
With a playoff berth on the line, the Colonels will open their three-game series with Lee Academy of Clarksdale next Tuesday on the IA field.
Meanwhile, in their most recent action, the Colonels completed their series with Marshall Academy of Holly Springs this past Thursday night.
While the result of that game with the visiting Patriots was unavailable at press time, the Colonels took a 6-15, 1-7 record into that night’s play.
This past Tuesday, the Colonels opened the series with Marshall Academy following a long trip to Holly Springs.
That day’s play resulted in a pair of losses for the young IA squad, as they fell by 12-0 and 9-1 scores.
As for next Tuesday’s critical home-field doubleheader with Lee Academy, the first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 4 p.m.
The Colts will then host the third game of the series next Thursday with that game’s start time scheduled for 6 p.m.
