It’s remarkable how short Americans’ memories can be. Just a few years from the worst pandemic in any of our lifetimes, people are back to being complacent about vaccinations.
Last year, according to federal authorities, just 45% of U.S. adults got a flu vaccine and even less, 23%, got a COVID-19 shot. And this is despite one of the largest marketing campaigns ever to promote vaccination.
If you are not worried about getting sick yourself, you should worry about being responsible for getting others sick — perhaps deathly ill — by passing the illness on to them.
COVID-19 is not as fatal as it was earlier, but still tens of thousands will die of it this year. Same also for the flu.
Don’t take that chance. Get vaccinated.
