Funeral services for Era J. Mack Sims, 79, of Greenville, will be at 12 noon Saturday at Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola, with the Rev. Herron Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sims transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in San Diego, Calif.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Byas Funeral Home’s Hayes Chapel, Indianola.
She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Joann (Harold) Lathon of Jackson, Dr. Jennifer E. Sims of San Diego, and Traci (Delmar) Sprouse of Greenville; her ex-husband, Eddie Sims of San Diego; her sister, Inez M. Cook of Indianola; three grandchildren, Erica Sims-Dumas of Coila, Miss., Dezell Lathon of Los Angeles and Kaitlyn Dumas of Greenville; one great-grandson, Chanceller Dumas of Coila, who was the love of her life; a special niece, Cynthia Cook of Indianola; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
