Mississippi Delta Community College is excited to announce that Waunita Roberts will be joining its team as director of human resources as of August 2.
Roberts comes to MDCC from Hinds Community College where she has served as payroll manager since 2014. From 2016 forward, Roberts also served as an adjunct professor. Roberts holds two master’s degrees in business administration and accountancy. She also holds a certificate in human resources.
“I am elated to be a part of the Trojan family and look forward to serving the Mississippi Delta Community College community. I look forward to all that is in store for us as we embark on what I expect to be a fruitful relationship,” said Roberts.
“I’m very pleased to welcome Ms. Roberts to the Trojan family. Ms. Roberts has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will prove valuable in her role as director of human resources. I’m more than confident Ms. Roberts is the right person to lead our fast-paced, multifunctional and high-demanding office of human resources,” said Vice President of Administrative Services Dr. Steven Jones. “She is no stranger to hard work; therefore, I anticipate her work will speak for itself. I know she is very excited about this opportunity and eager to get to work. I look forward to welcoming her aboard.”
MDCC President Dr. Tyrone Jackson is similarly enthusiastic regarding Roberts joining MDCC.
“I’m very proud to welcome Ms. Roberts as our new director of human resources,” said Jackson. “With her abundance of experience and educational background, there is no doubt in my mind that she will be a valuable asset to MDCC. We are excited to have Ms. Roberts back in the Delta and look forward to having her be a part of the MDCC family.”
