The local community is being asked for donations as G.R.A.C.E. (Grief/Reflect/Acknowledge/Community/Empower) hosts a food drive on Friday, June 6, at the Goods (former National Guard) Building, located at 4127 Hwy. 49 in Drew.
Your donations will provide a nutritious snack/meal for youth, young adults and their guardians as we build a stronger community through collective action. Items you can donate include: boxes of chips; cases of water/Gatorade/soda; fresh fruit; Lunchables; individual-packed cookies; granola/grain bars; pop tarts; sandwich crackers.
G.R.A.C.E. (Grief/Reflect/Acknowledge/Community/Empower) is also presenting a workshop for youth and young adults (guardian must be present) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Goods (former National Guard) Building, located at 4127 Hwy. 49 in Drew.
The workshop, hosted by Dr. Elizabeth Buckner, will explore the topic, “From Grief to Growth.” Several speakers will provide information on skills training, career guidance, job opportunities, and support services.
