The E-T is asking those who are prayerful to stop this week and pray for one of our own, former reporter Jamie Scrivener.
A couple of weeks ago, as Jamie was celebrating her 30th birthday, she went into the hospital at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, thinking she was having asthma issues.
It turned out that she had blood clots in her lungs, which caused her to be placed on a ventilator, and she has been on it ever since.
The doctors are trying to wean her off the vent this week, as her lungs are experiencing issues common with being on a vent for an extended period of time.
Pray that the doctors will be able to get her off the vent as soon as possible and that her lungs will be healed and that she will make a full recovery.
For those who do not know Jamie, she joined the communications staff at MDCC after leaving The E-T in 2015. Her love for sports shined at the college, as she took over duties as sports information director.
This fall, Jamie returned to her hometown of Maben to help her brother with the family photography business, following the death of her father this past summer.
