Last summer, I spent some time in one of my favorite places, Indianola, Mississippi!
My dad is from Indianola and my grandparents and lots of my family still live there.
I love Indianola so much because it is a special place for me and my dad.
A few times a year, my dad and I take a road trip from Atlanta, where we live to Indianola.
These trips are special to me because we listen to music and have a good time on the way to our special place.
On our last trip there, we visited Indianola Floral Designs and met Ms. Debbie. She was so nice!
She let me walk in the freezer to see the flowers. She has so many beautiful flowers but she also had guitars!
That was really cool since I love flowers and music! Last Summer, I also went to camp at the BB King Museum which was really super awesome too!
When we were in town the last time, I had the opportunity to visit where they make the Enterprise-Toscin.
My dad and I got to meet some of the crew, like Mr. Bryan Davis. Everyone there was really happy and really nice.
They seemed to love their job at the newspaper and they answered all of my questions.
They even took my picture and let me be in the newspaper!
Ever since I was a baby, when my dad would come back from a visit to the Delta, he would bring me a copy of the Enterprise-Toscin.
My dad and I would sit together and read everything going on in town.
My favorite section of the paper is, The Cops and Robbers section.
I love to read that section of the newspaper because I find it entertaining and amusing. Some of the crime seems silly, but I like knowing that the police are aware of what’s going on and ready to protect the citizens.
Reading this paper helps me to feel connected to where my dad grew up.
When I told this to Mr. Bryan, he was so nice that he gave me my very own subscription to the newspaper!
I get so excited every time the paper arrives and I get to find about what is going on in one of my favorites!
Thanks so much Mr. Bryan.
My dad loves Indianola so much and has so many friends there that I call him “The King of Indianola.”
I love Indianola and this newspaper so much, I know that I am the Princess of Indianola!
