The ladies of the Crepe Myrtle Garden Club held their regular meeting at Betty's Place on Tuesday night and florist Debbie Allen was the special guest speaker.
Allen talked to the group about various types of arrangements using not only flowers and plants but also fruits and pastries.
The talk involved new and changing trends for weddings, specialty parties and other holiday events.
The conversation also included some do's and don'ts when it comes to combining items for decoration and storage and ended with a brief question-and-answer session.

The Crepe Myrtle club as been in existence since August of 1951 and they meet monthly.
