Indianola now has 19 new junior firefighters courtesy of the Indianola Fire Department’s Fire Academy for Kids. The children graduated Friday after completing a weeklong camp on fire safety where they were exposed to instructions on basic life saving techniques and the prevention and suppression of fires.
The academy is in its 12th year of operation and is sponsored by Delta Health Alliance and the Indianola Promise Community.
