Delta Council hopes it will have its Annual Meeting in 2020, but it will have to wait until fall if it is going to happen.
The regional development organization’s president, Tom Gresham, announced on Delta Council’s website this week that this year’s meeting will be postponed until the fall.
“We did not take this decision lightly, and will still be following state and federal guidelines as we look to hold Delta Council Day later in the year,” Gresham said.
Gresham said that this is only the third time in over 80 years of Delta Council’s existence that a meeting date has been altered, once during World War II and again during the flood of 2011, to go along with this year’s postponement.
“We can assure you that the work of your regional development organization is ongoing and more relevant and critical than ever,” Gresham said. “Thank you for your support of Delta Council, and the Delta! Please keep in touch, stay engaged, and most importantly, stay safe.”
