More than 130 gardening enthusiasts from across the Hills and Delta District converged on the B. B. King Museum for the Garden Clubs of Mississippi spring session. The Indianola and Drew garden clubs hosted Tuesday’s event and Sassy Mauldin, director of the district presided.
The group’s state president, Lynda Dickerson, offered greetings and in addition to the President’s Workshop and Awards Workshop, the participants also were able to receive floral design tips from Ralph Null, world renowned floral designer and former floral design instructor at Mississippi State University, David Naron a Cleveland native and owner of Oxford Floral and Indianola Floral Design owner, Debbie Allen.
This was their spring assembly and it typically serves as an opportunity to conduct the workshops. The group meets twice a year and the fall is generally when they hold their awards banquet. Pictured are: Shirley Betts, Ralph Null, Celia Williamson, Anna Pieralisi and Robin Rosenthal
