The Gentry High School class of 1983 held its annual class retreat June 7-10 in Indianapolis, Indiana hosted by classmate, Rodney Baker. The class toured the Indy 500 Speedway, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium, and the War Memorial Museum. Members in attendance were: (front row) Belinda Smith, Patricia Leflore, Tammy Pernell, Rodney Baker, Wanda Moton McCaleb, Janice Young Armstrong, Brenda Largo Peterson, Dorothy Coleman, and Naomi Fant Ivory (honorary member),( second row) Donald Sanders, Janet Young, Earnest Nelson, Cherry Jones, Tyrone Wimbley, Earnestine Blancher, Michael Sample, Rickey McCaleb, Wallace Hope, Kirk Price, John Myrick, and Daniel Kent. Next year's retreat will be held at Myrtle Beach, SC hosted by classmate, Michael Sample. The class is finalizing plans for their 35th year class reunion to be held October 19-21 during homecoming festivities.
