Officials at MDCC are still seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects in last week’s arson fire at the Stauffer-Wood Administration Building.
The state fire Marshal’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist.
Reed Abraham, Associate Vice President for College Advancement and Public Relations, said on Wednesday that they have been able to determine that several items were likely stolen out of the offices on the south wing during the course of the apparent arson and burglary.
According to Abraham, computer services personnel have good indication that at least two professional grade Mac Book laptops along with several costly digital cameras were stolen.
He said remnants of the power cords and the accessories were still there but the actual devices were missing.
