The Keep Indianola Beautiful campaign was the recent recipient of a brand new flatbed work trailer courtesy of the Keep Mississippi Beautiful affiliate. Of the 38 operations statewide, the city of Indianola was one of eight who were awarded these trailers.
Director Robin Rosenthal, who spearheads the local Great American Cleanup each year, said she is using it to haul limbs, trash, plants, tools and more. She said it can be used for whatever is needed to help keep Indianola beautiful.
She said they were awarded the trailer because of the amount of work they do.
Rosenthal said the organization has to submit an annual report detailing what’s being done around the city to Keep Mississippi Beautiful, which in turn submits it to the national campaign headquarters for Keep America Beautiful. The award is based on the volume of work accomplished.
