Patrons of the Mid-Delta Arts Association are invited to go on an adventure to Texas’s third smallest town, Tuna, and witness some of the most colorful characters you’ve ever seen as the entire population is portrayed by two of the MDAA’s most talented actors.
In a flurry of costume changes and characterizations, Stephen Johnson, top left and lower right, and Guy Phillips, top right and lower left, introduce the audience to 20 of the most hilarious characters that have ever graced the Brindley Theater stage. Come meet Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Phineas Blye, the Rev. Spikes and more as MDAA presents the two-man sensation, “Greater Tuna.”
Rivers Phillips is directing the production, and performances are set for Thursday, Aug. 10 and Saturday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m., with a matinee set for Sunday, Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets go on sale today and can be purchased locally at The Crown or online at mid-deltaarts.com.
