Planters Bank has announced several local moves within its offices.
The bank recently announced plans for a new Credit Administration department.
With the creation of this new department, Jody Moor has been selected to serve as the Credit Manager.
Moor will lead a team of credit analysts who will help manage risks associated with the bank’s loan portfolio. The credit department will also assist in training new loan officers on commercial credits.
Moor is a native of Greenwood, Mississippi, and graduated from Mississippi State University with a BBA in finance. He completed the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, Southeastern School of Commercial Lending and is a licensed CPA in the state of Mississippi.
“Jody has been a key component of our Indianola office since he joined Planters. He has shown leadership in our loan department by developing new procedures for loans, and this new department is a perfect fit for him. We know he will provide great leadership for his staff.” stated Jim Quinn, Chief Credit Officer for Planters Bank.
Moor serves as a board member for the Indianola Historic Preservation Commission, treasurer for Indianola Chamber Main Street, treasurer for Indianola Youth Athletic Association and he serves on the Mississippi Bankers Association Ag Committee.
In December, he joined the board of the B.B. King Museum and is serving as Treasurer. He is a member of Indianola Rotary Club, where he is recognized as a Paul Harris fellow by Rotary International.
He has served as president for the Indianola Chamber of Commerce, Indianola Rotary Club, and Indianola Country Club and has served as Chairman of the Indianola Community Fund.
Moor is a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and is currently serving on the Finance Committee.
He is married to the former Kelly Wilson, and they have five children, Joel Moor, Hannah Moor, Allie Moor, Morgan Hays Clark and Ethan Clark.
The bank also announced recently the promotion of Judy Baldwin to Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for the Planters Bank system. Baldwin has 41 years of banking experience and has worked at Planters Bank for 24 years.
She is a native of Cleveland and attended Delta State University. She continued her education by attending the Louisiana State University Consumer Lending School and holds a Certified Bank Internal Auditor designation from the Independent Community Bankers of America.
“Judy began her banking career with Planters in Cleveland. She has excelled in our audit department and will excel in this newly created risk oversight department. When we decided to create this department, we knew that Judy would be the perfect person to lead it as Chief Risk Officer,” stated Alan Hargett, CEO of Planters Bank.
Baldwin has been very active in Cleveland and Bolivar County in her career. She is a Life Member of Junior Auxiliary of Cleveland and is a member of the Cleveland Exchange Club.
Finally, Ryan Strawbridge will begin as president of Planters Bank’s Indianola office on July 1.
Strawbridge will replaceMoor in that position.
He is a native of Indianola and graduated from Indianola Academy. He received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Delta State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Strawbridge has been in banking for 16 years, five of those with Planters Bank.
While working at Planters Bank in Greenwood, he served as vice president of United Way of Leflore County and was also on its Executive Committee.
He served as a board member of the Greenwood Leflore LEAP Foundation.
He has previously served as treasurer of the Greenwood Rotary Club and has served on various committees of the Mississippi Bankers Association, most recently its Agriculture Committee.

He is married to the former Caroline Reed of Belzoni, and they have two daughters Rhodes and Catherine. They are members of First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, where he serves as an Elder.
