Planters Bank has announced four promotions within the region.
Indianola native Rebecca Potter has been promoted to Assistant BSA Officer for the Planters Bank system.
Watson Cook, with the Inverness branch, has been promoted to Branch Officer for the Planters Bank offices in Inverness, Louise and Sunflower
Jamie Murrell has been promoted to First Vice President/Marketing for the bank.
Jessica Milam has been promoted to First Vice President/Human Resources.
Potter is a graduate of Indianola Academy and Delta State University. She is a teacher for the Mississippi Financial Access Coalition and a volunteer for Belzoni Animal Rescue.
She is married to Jack Potter, and they are members of the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.
Cook is a graduate of Indianola Academy. He received his BBA at Delta State University in General Business and previously worked at Indianola Academy as a teacher and baseball coach.
Cook serves on the board of directors for Indianola Academy and Indianola Baseball and Softball Association, and he is a member of Inverness Rotary Club. He is married to the former Melissa Whatley of Indianola, and they have two sons, Easton and William. They attend First Baptist Church in Inverness
Murrell is a native of West Point and is a graduate of Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s School of Bank Marketing and Management. She is a member of Indianola Rotary Club, Life Member of the Junior Auxiliary of Greenville, Mississippi Bankers Communication Council, Grammy Museum of Mississippi’s Red Carpet Guild and Washington School Board of Trustees. She is currently serving as Vice Chairman for the United Way of Washington County
She is married to Carter Murrell, and they have two children, Keeton and Caroline. They are members of Saint John’s Episcopal Mission in Leland.
Milam is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received a B.B.A. in Business Management. She is on the Capps Center Advisory Board, Associate member of the Junior Auxiliary of Greenville, member of the Junior Greenville Garden Club, Mississippi Bankers Human Resource Committee and Foundation Chair for the Delta Human Resource Management Association.
She is married to John Milam, and they have two children, Walt and Kate. They are members of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and owners of Fountains Green Grow-cery in Greenville.
