The Gentry High Rams basketball team is still in the playoff bracket.
Following a 67-56 Thursday night victory over South Pike High School in the state playoffs quarterfinals, the Rams will face the Rangers of Raymond High School on Monday night.
This game, like Thursday’s, will begin at 8:30 p.m.
If the Rams win, they will advance to the Championship game on next Thursday.
Gentry will take an overall 30-3 record into the contest Monday night, versus a 27-6 Raymond team.
The Rams have played five games since the start of the 4A Regional Tournaments two weeks ago, and they have won all five, including two home wins in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Rangers seemed to have gotten all of the losing out of their system in 2017, riding an 18-game win streak going into Monday night. The last loss for Raymond was on Dec. 28 against Canton High School (50-39).
Also, don’t forget Ruleville Central will be playing Jefferson Davis County High School this Saturday at 1:30 in Jackson for a chance to advance to the semifinals.
