Tutwiler’s Tracey Rosebud will be the next District 30 representative for the Mississippi House.
Rosebud, defeated Blake Ferretti of Cleveland during Tuesday’s special election.
Rosebud’s district covers the northern part of Sunflower County, along with portions of Bolivar, Quitman and Tallahatchie Counties.
According to the Associated Press, unofficial results have Rosebud at 1,429 votes to 1,275 for Ferritti.
Rosebud, who had been endorsed by the Democratic party in Mississippi, will serve until January 2020.
The seat became open after the resignation of Democrat Robert Huddleston of Sumner.
