A $9.5 million renovation for South Sunflower County Hospital is complete.
On Aug. 25, the Indianola-based hospital will host a ribbon cutting and open house commemorating the completion of the renovation, which began in 2013.
“We are delighted to offer the community a much-needed modernized facility, which includes significant alterations and improvements while fulfilling the hospital’s constant goal of providing excellent quality care and superior customer service,” said SSCH CEO Courtney Phillips in a statement this week.
The renovation project began four years ago and was officially competed in July., according to a release from the hospital.
The full-service hospital has two rural family practice clinics, as well as a surgical clinic.
As part of the renovation project, South Sunflower increased its inpatient and outpatient service lines to include a swing bed unit, physcial therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, medical lab, podiatry services, orthopedic services, behavior health services and otolaryngology services.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at 121 East Baker St.
