After a couple of days of more widespread testing, the number of cases of the novel coronavirus have increased very little in Sunflower County.
While the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health, rose from 377 to 485 in the past 24 hours, Sunflower County’s numbers increased from three to four.
MSDH announced Sunflower County’s first confirmed case earlier this week.
All of the counties surrounding Sunflower County have confirmed cases, with 17 in Coahoma, 13 in Leflore, nine in Washington, six in Bolivar, two in Tallahatchie and one in Humphreys.
