On Saturday, TeamPositive Ministries hosted “The Back To School Bash 2017” in Indianola at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.
Executive Director Philander R. Williams said they were able to bless the youth of the Delta with more than 375 backpacks or drawstring bags and school supplies thanks to donations from some amazing people.
She said Emeryle Milton sponsored a giveaway that blessed recent high school graduates with a tote bag filled with supplies needed for college.
“We also raffled off three Android tablets, 10 uniform vouchers, 10 free hair cut certificates, a beauty salon package, two event decorating packages and 25 envelopes with cash prizes enclosed,” she said.
In addition, she said they also provided each attendee with a brown bag lunch.
TeamPositive Ministries said it would like to thank the donors and everyone who volunteered their time and services.
