Meadow Smith is on a mission to help abused dogs in Sunflower County.
The young girl recently approached her mother about helping abused animals that are housed at the Hough-Dement Animal Shelter.
Before long, she was printing flyers and placing them around town, asking others that were interested to donate items for the animals.
After the flyer campaign and then putting the initiative on Facebook, Smith was able to deliver a trunk full of beds, blankets, food, treats, toys , shampoos, Clorox and other items to the animal shelter for the dogs.
Meadow said she also had help from Jennifer Horner and Caitlyn Smith.
Tracie Hunt and the entire HDAS staff thanked Smith for all her hard work and the much-appreciated gifts to the dogs.
