Four games into the 2025 season, the North Sunflower Academy Lady Rebels have yet to taste victory.
Potential and promise keep the team moving forward. With a young coach and a young team searching for success, the Lady Rebels have lost to Lee Academy (Arkansas), St. Joe, Humphreys and Hebron but have shown sparks of offense.
“They are improving a lot. We had a tough game against Hebron. We had them the entire game but had one inning get away from us,” Head Coach Abbi Cataldo said. “Stat-wise, we won six out of seven innings. The end score determines the game but when you win six out of seven innings, I’m going to be proud of them. Every single player had a hit and we only struck out three times. Chloe Horton, this is her first year ever to play softball and she’s on a hitting streak.”
Lady Rebel fever is catching beyond the faithful parent support. Students and other fans are gathering at home games to cheer them on.
“We have pretty good fan support,” she said.
