Continuing to search for their first win of the season, the Gentry High Rams were hoping to earn that elusive victory when they hosted Canton High School Thursday evening.
While the result of that Region 2-5A game was unavailable at press time, the Rams took a 0-9, 0-3 record into that final regional baseball game of the season.
Win or lose, reaching the playoffs will not happen for this year’s version of Gentry High baseball.
As for this upcoming week, the Rams are scheduled to travel to Cleveland Central High School next Tuesday for a 4 p.m. regional clash with the Wolves.
Meanwhile, in other recent action which occurred last Friday, the Rams hit the road and dropped a 16-1 regional decision to Yazoo City High School.
