Once more the Gentry High School Rams and Lady Rams will attempt to see their basketball season begin.
Scheduled to take on Yazoo City High School next Tuesday, the Gentry High squads will be required to shake off any rust accumulated after a 28-day COVID-generated layoff from live action.
With both Gentry High teams claiming a victory over Grenada High on that long-ago December 8 night, next Tuesday’s home-court night of play against Yazoo City also opens Region 2-3A competition.
The 1-0 Lady Rams will take the court at 6 p.m. while the also 1-0 Rams’ game will begin immediately thereafter.
This upcoming action also leads the Gentry High squad into a scheduled three-game string of road trips which begin January 8.
