Donald Neal, a Dollar General driver originally from Belzoni and a resident of Indianola, was killed Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run on U.S. Highway 82 in Indianola.
The crash occurred around 4:50 p.m. near 1104 Highway 82, between Wendy’s and Jack’s restaurants, according to witnesses.
Emergency services were dispatched at about 4:57 p.m. and arrived at the scene around 5:09 p.m. Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton pronounced Neal dead at 5:12 p.m.
JaCoby Lee was arrested shortly after the incident by the Indianola Police Department on a charge of manslaughter and was booked Tuesday at the Sunflower County Jail.
The Indianola Police Department has not yet released a formal report.
