Funeral services for Jimmie Lee Barnes, 57, of Indianola, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Heathman Missionary Baptist Church, Indianola. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Dillon Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mr. Barnes died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, in Jonesboro, Ark.
He is survived by: his mother, Bertha M. Barnes of Indianola; four sons, Travis Short of Lancaster, Pa., Jimmie Lee Barnes Jr. and Justin Barnes, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Corey Barnes of Denver, Colo.; five daughters, Deshandra Townsend Randel of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mekellya Hines of Jackson, Nakita Barnes Frison and Chiquita Barnes, both of Atlanta, and Shanika Dixon of Indianola; three sisters, Alberta Harrington of Indianola, Vivian (Rick) Davis of Mesquite, Texas, and Aslea “Tina” (Randy) Jacobs of Arlington, Texas; five brothers, Wiley (Elizabeth) Barnes of Leland, Emerson (Linda) Barnes of Kennedale, Texas, Dr. Roscoe Barnes II of Centerville, Miss., Terry (Debra) Blocken of Indianola, and Roy (Bobbie) Barnes of Indianola; 33 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Dillon Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Joe Hodges will officiate.
