Services for John A. Jacobs of Shaw will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Mount Olive Church, Cleveland. Burial will follow at Ray Memorial Gardens, Shaw.
Mr. Jacobs, 67, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Byas Funeral Home, Cleveland, which is in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.
The Rev. C. W. Ray will officiate at the services.
Mr. Jacobs is survived by: one daughter, Shekila Shields; three brothers, Wendell Mims, Johnny Jacobs Jr. and Robert Jacobs; three sisters, Mary Hornday, Betty Jennings and Ethel Whitehall; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
