With but four regular season soccer matches to play, the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels also have but two home dates remaining among those dates.
The first of those occurs next Monday when Kirk Academy of Grenada arrives for a high noon match against the Lady Colonels.
In their most recent play this past Thursday, the IA squad traveled to Greenville St. Joseph High School for a divisional match.
While results of that match were unavailable at press time, the Lady Colonels carried a 6-5 record into that evening’s action.
In additional recent soccer action, this past Monday the IA girls recorded another victory during a trip to Deer Creek School in Arcola.
That venture earned the Lady Colonels an 8-0 victory over the Lady Warriors.
IA used six players to accumulate their high point total, and the list of Lady Colonels was led by Carlyle Reed and Mae Veazey, both of whom recorded a brace (two goals) apiece against the Deer Creek School defense.
Other IA players scoring one goal apiece were Emeline Beilmann, Mary Kathryn Brooks, Hasie Ruth Donahue and Nyla Thomas.
Providing the assists which aided in the above scoring efforts were Ann Ledbetter (2), Reed and Veazey.
