They have returned to the win column in impressive fashion.
After earning a two-game win streak, the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels soccer team will now put that run on the line this Saturday.
Currently 5-4 following Monday’s 8-0 victory over visiting Deer Creek School, the IA squad will host a strong Brookhaven Academy squad tomorrow.
Kickoff for this match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Additional action this next week includes a trip to Arcola on Monday for a return match with Deer Creek School.
While match time for that game is to be announced, next Thursday will find the Lady Colonels at Greenville St. Joseph High for a divisional clash.

In their most recent match against Deer Creek School, the Lady Colonels received goals from five players en route to claiming their 8-0 victory.
Leading the way with a hat trick (three goals) was Mae Veazey while Emeline Beilmann recorded a pair of goals.
Veazey’s scoring efforts were earned with two successful penalty kicks as well as receiving an assist from Beilmann which enabled the junior to score her third goal of the match.
Meanwhile, Beilmann’s big day included three assists to go along with the two goals provided during her day’s efforts.
Nyla Thomas also breached the Lady Warriors’ defense with a goal following an assist from Beilmann.
Additionally, Carlyle Reed tallied yet another IA goal on her penalty kick attempt while Julia Davis used an assist from Beilmann to score another goal for the IA squad.
In another day of soccer action this past Saturday, the Lady Colonels participated in the Brookhaven Academy tournament.
The IA squad’s weekend trip to south Mississippi yielded one win among their two matches played.
After falling to Brookhaven Academy by a 6-0 score, the Lady Colonels rebounded that afternoon with a 3-0 win over the Counselors of Muddy River Homeschool of Jackson.
The Lady Colonels used two goals from Veazey and one goal from Hasie Ruth Donahue to reach their point total.
