Services for Leon Stansberry of Sunflower will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Blaine. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until funeral time. Burial will follow at East Sunflower Cemetery, Sunflower.
Mr. Stansberry, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Byas Funeral Home, Indianola, which is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Lamar Shaw will officiate at the services.
Mr. Stansberry is survived by: three brothers, Yetti Stansberry, Mitchell Stansberry and Aaron Peelar; two sisters, Annie Tillmon and Ollie Knighten; and a host of other relatives and friends.
