Dear editor,
While reading Recardo Thomas’ article in Thursday, November 8th Enterprise-Tocsin, concerning three county roads to close for the winter, it was interesting.
The names of these roads are Goose Lake Road, Smith-Murphy Road and Sleepy Martin Road.
If no one lives on these roads, and school buses do not use the roads, why not abandon them?
If these roads were abandoned, the county and especially Beat 5 would not have to maintain them in the summer months.
Gravel, diesel and man hours could be put to better use on other roads.
How do the superviors and taxpayers feel about this suggestion?
Sincerely,
Johnny Gorrell
Citizen of Beat 5
