Jigsaw Puzzle Swap – Are you finished with your latest jigsaw puzzle? Don’t let those pieces gather dust. Swap them for a new-to-you puzzle to enjoy from the Library Jigsaw Puzzle Swap shelf at the Indianola Library. Just bring in your gently used puzzles (all pieces included, please!). This is a new service available to the community.
Sunflower County 4-H Exhibit – The Indianola Library is hosting a display of the 4-H Sewing Club and the Rabbit Extravaganza Blue Ribbon Winners from the Mississippi State Fair. Make a point to come to the library and see the wonderful work of our young community members.
America 250 – To celebrate our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, the library will feature interesting facts about the signers of the Declaration of Independence on our Sunflower County Library Facebook page. The featured story for November 28th is about William Paca.

The Social Hour – Join us for Bingo on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Indianola Library. What a wonderful way to meet new friends and keep your mind sharp! This program benefits our senior adults in the community.
Chair Aerobics – Get fit while you sit every 4th Thursday of each month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Indianola Library. This program benefits adults.
Self-Paced Digital Literacy – Contact your local library to set up a session. This program benefits adults.

Virtual Storytime – The perfect way to share stories together, no matter where you are. Join us for Virtual Storytime every Thursday. Storytime at the Library – Storytime is a wonderful way to introduce early literacy skills and the joy of reading. Join us for Storytime at the Library every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Indianola Library, featuring “How to Catch an Elf” by Adam Wallace on Dec. 2nd. This program benefits ages 0-5.
Deck the Shelves Reading Challenge – Dec. 1st to 31st. Join us this December as you dive into your favorite books by completing a reading challenge with your selected book. Return the completed reading challenge card when you return your borrowed book. The card will be placed in a Reading Challenge Collection Box and at the end of the month, a drawing will occur. The lucky winner will receive a small prize as a reward for participating. This month’s prize is a Library Bag filled with reading essentials: book light, magnetic bookmark, and a page magnifier. Something nice to have while you enjoy your next book. Please ask at the library’s Circulation Desk for more details. All library branches will be offering the reading challenge. This program benefits people of all ages.
Elf on the Shelf Storytime and Craft – Join us for Elf on the Shelf Storytime and craft at 3:45 p.m. on Dec. 1st at the Moorhead Library and on Dec. 2nd at the Inverness Public Library. The featured story is “Don’t Touch That Elf!” by Chanda A. Bell. This program benefits ages 6-11.
DIY Christmas Wreath – Join us in making a Christmas Wreatxh at 1 p.m. on Dec. 3rd at the Drew Library and on Dec. 4th at the Ruleville Library. Deck the halls with your own handmade holiday flair! So, come craft, create, and celebrate the season with your library.
Canvas Needle Point Craft – Join us for a colorful, creative, and calming crafting experience on Dec. 4th at 4 p.m. at the Indianola Library. Get crafty with us! This program benefits ages 12-18.
Fork Painted Wreath – Get creative this holiday season with a fun twist on a classic craft! Join us for Fork Painted Wreath Craft at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 8th at the Drew Library and on Dec. 9th at the Ruleville Library. This program benefits adults.
The Sunflower County Library System is pleased to announce that the materials from the W. R. French Collection that were digitized as part of the Cultural Heritage Digitization Award through the Mississippi Digital Library are now available online. The materials can be viewed by going to (msdiglib.org/chda). We sincerely hope you will take a moment to look at the history that is there and enjoy what you discover. The letters cover a snapshot in time during the first half of 1944 as men and women at war wrote home.
