The investigation continues into the deaths of three young people shot while riding in a car on Robinsonville Road last week.
The Tunica County Sheriff's Department said the woman killed in the shooting was pregnant and that has prompted authorities to say they will pursue capital murder charges once the shooter or shooters are arrested.
The update in this triple homicide comes after preliminary autopsy reports were obtained by authorities from the Mississippi Crime Lab.
"Deshun Montarrio Isabell was not shot but died as the result of trauma sustained in the vehicle accident," Tunica Sheriff K.C. Hamp said in a statement released Friday afternoon, Nov. 17. Capital murder shall be sought."
In Mississippi killing a woman with an unborn child is deemed capital murder. A person convicted of capital murder can face the dealth penalty if convicted of the crime.
