On October 14 at 1:58 a.m., officers reportedly issued a citation to a Julianne Drive woman after receiving the third call about loud music.
On October 13 at 9:12 a.m., a Spoonbill Court woman said that her neighbor's juvenile son was harassing her by following her around the neighborhood while she was walking for exercise.
On October 14 at 12:41 p.m., a Hough Street man said that his sister's granddaughter, a Roosevelt Street woman, was threatening him at his home.
On October 14 at 12:08 p.m., a Jackson Street woman said that her juvenile son had stolen her boyfriend's car from the 300 block of the street. The car was reportedly returned about 40 minutes later.
On October 14 at 3:10 p.m., a Delta Blues Street woman said that her husband, a Delta Blues Street man, hit her across the face with a closed fist.
On October 14 at 3:59 p.m., a Faisonia Avenue woman said that someone she's renting her house to, a Faisonia Avenue man, threatened her. Reportedly, the woman said she contacted the man about the October rent payment, which was due between the first and the fifth of the month, and he refused to pay her. She said the man told her that he had paid the bank, but he wanted a receipt from her. That's when she asked him to leave and vacate the property. However, the man allegedly told her, "You don't know who you f**** with, I'll blow you away." She told officers that they have a lease agreement, but neither one has signed the paperwork. She also stated that the man had been going through her private things and looking into her financial business. She filed a report, but did not want to file charges against the man.
On October 15 at 4:52 p.m., a Walmart employee called officers about a shoplifting after they reportedly saw four boys select two Hyper Skute motorized scooters, take them to the garden center, put them together and ride out of the garden center emergency exit. Camera footage identified a Roosevelt Street boy as one of the riders; so officers went to talk to his mother who called her son out. And although the boy said he did not steal the scooters, he did have possession of one of the stolen items. A juvenile intake form was produced and the judge ordered the boy to be taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
On October 15 at 5:41 p.m., a Faison Avenue man said someone had hit a vehicle while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot. A 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and a Toyota pickup truck were reportedly involved. The man said he was in the store when someone called and told him that his car had been hit. The damage reportedly happened as a result of another man telling his son to park their vehicle while he went inside of the store. The son, who only has a learner's permit, said that he cut too short, hit the vehicle, panicked and drove off because he didn't know what to do because he had never been in that type of situation before.
On October 16 at 9:22 a.m., officers were called to the area of the B.B. King Park on Roosevelt Street where a man told them that he saw someone wearing a black hoodie and a black face mask carrying a handgun and walking through the park area. Officers found a person fitting the description standing near a blue Toyota Camry and upon approaching, asked him to step away from the car. The man then pulled a black handgun from his pants and dropped it on the ground. The individual, later identified as a 15-year-old Birdsong Street boy, was handcuffed and taken into custody. The driver of the Toyota Camry was ordered to shut the engine off and get out of the car, but he drove off. The judge ordered the 15-year-old to be transported to the Washington County Detention Center and charged with possession of a weapon by a juvenile and possession of a stolen firearm since it was determined that the weapon had been stolen. Officers took a black Glock .45 caliber handgun, with an altered switch, a black magazine that holds 13 rounds and five .45 caliber rounds into evidence. A Cleveland Street woman is also listed as a suspect along with an unidentified victim.
On October 16 at 10:59 a.m., a Janet Davis Circle man said there had been a two-car accident in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 82 East. The man said that he was heading out of the Double Quick parking lot in his 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe when he was hit on the right back passenger's side bumper by a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a Linden Street woman. No injuries were reported.
On October 16 at 3:11 p.m., officers were called to the Cato's store about a shoplifter. The manager said a man came into the store while she was conducting an interview and walked out with an armful of clothing. She said a store associate had asked the man if he needed any help when he came in and he stated that he did not, but was just looking for a gift. She said shortly after that she heard the store's exit alarm go off and when she looked up the man was leaving the store with the clothing and getting into a black Olds Alero. The manager said she caught up with him and asked if he was really going to take the clothes and leave just like that and he replied, "Yeah, I am." He then got into the vehicle and drove off East on U.S. Highway 82. She gave a description to the officers and said they would review the security footage and that an itemized list was forthcoming.
On October 17 at 12:26 p.m., a Weat Connector, Austell, Georgia man, driving a 2008 Honda Accord, said he had backed into a 2014 blue Dodge Avenger while backing out of a Walmart parking space. The man said he didn't see anything when he checked his rear view mirror, so he continued to back up until he felt the impact. No injuries were reported.
On October 17 at 2:56 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Jeff Davis Street after someone said that two sisters were fighting.
On October 17 at 3:07 p.m., a Broadmoor Drive woman said that an Eastmoor Circle, Moorhead man and a Maple Avenue, Moorhead man had been threatening her. She said the incident stemmed from a fight that happened on October 15 at the Waffle House in Greenwood and that the man was accusing her of speaking about the fight; however, she declared that the fight had been uploaded on social media by someone else and that she was nowhere near the Waffle House when the fight took place. She said the man texted her phone threatening her and telling her to stop speaking about him. She alleges that the man sent his nephew, the Maple Avenue man, to her house to shoot at them. She wants to pursue charges against both.
On October 17 at 3:08 p.m., a Stuart Street man said that he noticed that his gate on the left side of his backyard was damaged and he suspects his neighbor. He reported a history of problems with his neighbor who has allegedly come into his yard before and destroyed his property.
On October 17 at 9:03 p.m., officers were called to South Sunflower County Hospital about a gunshot victim. A Hunt Street, Rolling Fork man said that he was walking somewhere near B.B. King Road and the Double Quick store when he was hit in his left leg by a bullet. The man said that he did not know where the shot came from and that he doesn't have problems with anyone in town because he does not live here. He told officers that he had just recently moved to Georgia, but was back visiting his girlfriend of four months.
On October 18 at 5:04 a.m., a Broadmoor Drive man said that his boyfriend, a Causey Drive, Greenville man, came to his house and destroyed his windows and the rear window of his 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. He said they had recently separated and on the night of the incident the man came back to the house banging on the door and trying to get inside. And when he refused to let him in, that's when he began destroying the windows. He said the man also threatened to hurt him and his sister so he wants to file a report and charges against him.
On October 18 at 6:54 a.m., a South Wilson Street man, driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, said that he had been involved in a fender bender with an East Baker Street man, driving a 2005 Nissan Armada. The accident reportedly happened in the 300 block of U.S. Highway 82 East.

On October 17 at 4:30 p.m., Gerod Nellum, 29, 719 Hoover St, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct (failure to comply with the requests or commands of law enforcement officers), resisting or obstructing arrest, public drunkenness and simple assault on a law enforcement officer.
On October 17 at 9:30 a.m., James Lawrence Brown Jr, 63, 4163 Highway 51, Canton, Mississippi was arrested and charged with sexual battery.
On October 19 at 3:08 p.m., Sheldon Lee, 35, 1114 Bates Ave., was arrested and charged with felon carrying a concealed weapon.
On October 19 at 3:30 p.m., Earnest Coleman, 40, 900 Johnny Russell Drive, Moorhead was arrested and charged with DUI (first offense).
On October 22 at 12:06 a.m., Pedro Lerma, 45, 208-B Fisackerly Road, Sunflower was arrested and charged with speeding on a state highway, no/expired driver's license and DUI (first offense).
