Indianola police made the following arrests between March 6 and March 21,
On March 9 at 7:01 p.m., Robert Cordell, 1230 Montgomery St., Inverness was arrested and charged with simple assault on a policeman, fireman, school official or employee of a private correctional facility in the line of duty. Officers were called to the 100 block of East Baker Street, the South Sunflower County Hospital emergency room, where they were told about family members fighting in the E.R. A Roosevelt Avenue, Greenwood woman is listed as the victim.
On March 10 at 7:31 p.m., Lezelle Lee Diggs, 108 Easy St., was arrested and charged with simple domestic violence after an Easy Street woman called and said that she was trying to avoid a domestic situation with him.
On March 14 at 8:56 p.m., Fredrick Lee Washington, 422 Lincoln Ave., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or other substances, no/expired driver's license and no motor vehicle insurance card in the vehicle. Officers were called to U.S. Highway 82 near Catchings Avenue about a two-car accident in front of the Double Quick store. Washington was reportedly driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and the other driver was a County Road 507, Itta Bena man, driving a 2010 Lincoln Navigator. A 2018 Chevrolet Impala owned by Refuel Operating Company was also reportedly damaged. Several people were named for unspecified reasons, but no injuries were reported.
On March 15 at 4:39 p.m., Keldrick Deoan McClinton, 564 Cypress Lane, Apt., 13-D, Greenville was arrested and charged with simple domestic violence. A Mimosa Drive woman told officers that her ex-boyfriend was “trailing” her from Moorhead and that he was armed. She reportedly stated that McClinton had fired shots at her vehicle. Officers seized a Romarm weapon, valued at $600.
On March 16 at 10:39 a.m., Draquiss Markevius Johnson, 602 Oak St., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Officers seized 33 grams of marijuana in an incident that reportedly happened at the Delta Inn and Suites on U.S. Highway 82. Also, a woman said that Johnson, who is her boyfriend, had taken her vehicle without her permission.
On March 18 at 11:54 a.m., Elijah Hezekiah Jackson, 307 Lipest St., Shaw was arrested and charged with resisting/obstructing arrest after officers were called to the Loves Travel Stop about an auto burglary. A County Road 507, Itta Bena man is the reported victim and a Sunflower Road, Itta Bena man is a witness. The steering column and a back driver's side window on a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe were damaged. Jackson was reportedly driving a 2023 Dodge.
On March 20 at 12:18 p.m., Michael Anthony Howard, 101 Galaxie Circle was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a policeman/fireman/school official or other official in the line of duty (with a weapon), possession of marijuana with intent (enhanced by a firearm) simple assault (attempt by physical menace to create fear), resisting arrest and disorderly conduct (failure to comply with police). Also arrested was Amyrical Marie Turner, 311 Jackson St. She was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a policeman/fireman/school official or other official in the line of duty (with a weapon). Three police officers were named in the report as victims of the assault. The arrests came after an officer on patrol noticed the 1985 Chevrolet Impala with an expired tag in the 800 block of U.S. Highway 82. Officers reportedly reseized a black Smith and Wesson SD-40 VE and 79 grams of marijuana.
On March 20 at 7:41 p.m., Henry Lee Gibson, 105 Martin Luther King Drive, Greenville was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said he stole a $9 BB fame pump, $40 worth of ribeye steaks and $5 worth of another item.

On March 6 at 5:08 a.m., a Wiggins Road woman said someone stole her 2015 Chevrolet Cruze out of her yard. A Broadmoor Drive woman also reported a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, valued at $8,000, as being stolen.
On March 6 at 5:05 a.m., officers reported an abandoned 2013 Hyundai Elantra in a ditch on Kinlock Road near Wiggins Road. The owner is apparently a Broadmoor Drive woman.
On March 6 at 7:06 a.m., a Wiggins Road woman and a Jefferson Street man reported $35 worth of damage to the steering column and $200 worth of damage to a back passengers’ side window on a 2013 Kia Optima. Also,$250 worth of damage to the back driver's side window on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. A Kim Herman Cove boy is listed as the suspect. A $90 pair of Nike Jordan shoes, a $107 pair of Nike Jordan shoes, a $171 pair of Nike Jordan shoes, a $96 pair of Nike Jordan shoes, $1,500 worth of cash, two digital cameras, valued at $120, and a $250 disability hand control were reported as stolen. A pair of Apple Airpod Bluetooth headphones were taken into evidence.
On March 6 at 9:20 a.m., officers spotted several juveniles including a Kim Herman Cove boy, a Hannah Street boy and a Birdsong Street boy in the 200 block of Front Avenue Ext. They were reportedly charged with grand larceny, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct (failure to comply with police) and possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids in a motor vehicle. It was in relation to a stolen and later recovered 2015 Chevrolet Cruze owned by a Wiggins Road woman.
On March 6 at 11:59 a.m., a Kinlock Road man said that someone had damaged and burglarized his 2015 Hyundai Sonata. There was reportedly $130 worth of damage done to the steering wheel column and $130 worth of damage to the back driver's side window. They also reportedly found a pair of white earbuds valued at $50.
On March 6 at 7:27 p.m., a South Walker Circle woman said that someone who had been drinking had backed into her 2011 Nissan pickup. A Jackson Street woman, owner of a 2013 Dodge Charger, was reportedly the other driver.
On March 6 at 11:08 p.m., a Sunflower Avenue woman said that a Josephine Street, Hollandale man has been harassing and threatening her by saying that she had better sleep with one eye open and one eye closed.
On March 7 at 11:17 a.m., a Walmart employee said that one of his employees, a Torino Drive man, has been stealing merchandise. A black Apple iPhone SE3, valued at $149, and a black phone case, valued at $19, were reportedly stolen.
On March 7 at 11:40 a.m., a Henderson Street man said that someone broke into a house in the 500 block of Birdsong Street that was being renovated and stole $3,500 worth of windows, a $500 side door and a $5,000 central heating unit.
On March 7 at 4:49 p.m., a Hampton Street woman said that someone stole her Hyper Tough 2-Cycle weed eater, valued at $118, from one of her rental houses. She also reported a stolen Woodforest Bank debit card.
On March 7 at 8:58 p.m., a West Gresham Street woman reported that her English bulldog was lost.
On March 8 at 12:12 a.m., a Hampton Street woman reported shots fired and that someone had shot into her home. Seven F. C. Luger 9mm shell casings were taken into evidence along with three Ammo Incorporated .45 caliber automatic shells.
On March 8 at 7:13 p.m., a Holly Ridge/Holmes Road woman said that she hit a pothole on Garrard Avenue near Curtis Street, which caused $250 worth of damage to the passenger's side back tire, $350 worth of damage to the passenger's side back rim and $150 worth of damage to the left back mud flap and now her 2003 Toyota SR5 is making a loud noise.
On March 9 at 2:54 a.m., a Beaverdam Road woman said that a Roosevelt Street man kicked her 2023 Kia K5 and put a dent in the right passenger’s side door while she was at the free park on Church Avenue.
On March 9 at 4:18 a.m., an East Delta Avenue, Moorhead woman said that a Maple Street, Moorhead man tried to run her off the road in the 600 block of Second Street. A Roy Street, Moorhead woman is also listed as a victim. A 2016 Ford Mustang was reportedly damaged and a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was impounded.
On March 9 at 1:56 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Gillespie Drive where a Gillespie Drive woman said that a Boylston Street, Memphis, Tennessee woman was at her house and unwanted.
On March 9 at 5:14 p.m., a Lee Street woman said someone broke into her 2021 Buick Envision and stole a Glock 19 handgun valued at $504.
On March 9 at 7:51 p.m., a West Washington Street woman said that her boyfriend, a West Gresham Street man, was jumping on her in front of her children. A 9mm semi-automatic Smith & Wesson handgun was reportedly stolen.
On March 10 at 4:26 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of North Sunflower Avenue where a North Sunflower Avenue woman and a Cox Street man were involved in a domestic dispute. The woman said that her boyfriend was trashing her home and throwing items at her vehicle. They are both listed as the suspect and victim in the report.
On March 10 at 9:28 a.m., a Holly Drive woman called officers about an unwanted person. She said that a Stonewall Drive man was trying to get into her room.
On March 10 at 6:29 p.m., a Jefferson Street man said that some juveniles were creating a disturbance in the 600 block of Coates Street. Additionally, $120 in cash was reportedly stolen.
On March 11 at 10:00 12:00 a.m., officers were called to the Delta Inn and Suites about a disturbance where a Freedom Street, Itta Bena man is listed as the victim and a another man is listed as the suspect. Officers were told that the two men were fighting.
On March 11 at 7:20 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 82 about a domestic dispute and a possible stab victim. A Davis Street, Inverness man is listed as a victim and the suspect is unnamed.
On March 11 at 11:49 p.m., a Curtis Street woman said that someone shot into her home and caused $250 worth of damage to an inside wall and $200 worth of damage to a north-facing window. Officers took part of a projectile into evidence.
On March 12 at 12:02 p.m., a Barnes Street man made a complaint about identity theft and false pretense. A Birdsong Street woman is named for unspecified reasons.
On March 12 at 4:32 p.m., a Second Avenue man said that he accidentally ran into his daughter's, a Second Avenue woman, 2018 Chevrolet Camaro with his 2005 Dodge Durango.
On March 12th at 4:48 p.m., a West Gresham Street woman said that her ex-girlfriend, a Fillmore Street, Belzoni woman, has been harassing and threatening her.
On March 12 at 6:50 p.m., officers received a call that a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was on fire at the intersection of U.S. Highway 49 and U.S. Highway 82. A West Clover Drive man is listed as the driver and an East Percy Street woman is listed as a passenger.
On March 13 at 1:45 p.m., a Main Street woman called officers about an unwanted person at her home. A West Augusta Street man is named in the report for unspecified reasons.
On March 13 at 5:51 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Wiggins Road about a domestic disturbance. A Chandler Street woman and a Gillespie Drive woman were reportedly assaulting another woman, who declined to press charges. A Birdsong Street/Wiggins Road woman is also listed as a suspect. The Chandler Street woman and the Birdsong Street/Wiggins Road woman are also listed as victims and a Slim Street woman is named for an unspecified reason.
On March 14 at 7:28 a.m., a U.S. Highway 82 East woman said that a Janet Davis Circle man was shoplifting in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 82 and stole four cases of Aquafina water valued at $38. A Pershing Avenue man is listed as a witness and a Carver Street woman as listed as the owner. The suspect was reportedly in a 2011 BMW 328.
On March 14 at 7:35 p.m., an Ingram Street, Moorhead man said that while he was cutting grass in the 100 block of Curtis Street, someone that he doesn't know pulled a gun on him.
On March 14 at 8:08 p.m., a Lavender Street, Port Arthur, Texas woman said that something happened to her dog in the 300 block of Hampton Street.
On March 16 at 1:50 a.m., officers made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 82 due to reckless driving. A Fairgrounds Road, Greenville man is the reported driver of the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro involved. He also allegedly had no insurance and an improper tag.
On March 16 at 5:06 p.m., a Garrard Avenue man said that he had lost his wallet in the 600 block of U.S. Highway 82 West.
On March 16 at 1:52 a.m., an officer spotted a suspicious person in the 200 block of Church Avenue. The man, who allegedly had a gun and was in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, was identified as a Curtis Street man who reportedly resisted arrest, displayed disorderly conduct and failed to comply with the requests or commands of officers.
On March 18 at 8:04 a.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Martin Luther King Drive South where a Davis Circle, Monticello, Mississippi man reported a break in where someone stole $200 worth of copper wire.
On March 18 at 12:04 p.m., an East Edna North Street, Isola woman reported embezzlement and fraud in the amount of $580 at H&R Block in the Copper Creek Plaza by an unnamed person.
On March 18 at 3:34 p.m., an Allendale Road, Silver City woman said that a Garrard Avenue man was stalking and harassing her by coming to her job, in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 82 and calling her phone.
On March 18 at 12:02 p.m., a Spoonbill Court man said someone stole his Taurus G3 9mm handgun valued at $450. A Lee Street man is named as a suspect.
On March 19 at 11:17 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 1000 block of Broadmoor Drive where a Broadmoor Drive woman is listed as the victim and a Broadmoor Drive man is listed as the suspect.
On March 19 at 5:04 p.m., a Double Quick employee said that a former employee, a Gardner Street woman, has been embezzling money and has stolen $100.
On March 20 at 8:00 13:00 a.m., a Wiggins Road man said that someone had broken into his 2017 Dodge Durango police unit by damaging the back passenger window valued at $110.
On March 20 at 1:19 p.m., a Walmart employee said that an East Mark Drive, Hollandale woman was shoplifting at the store. The woman reportedly stole $149 worth of assorted merchandise including boys socks, Paris Hilton cologne, sleepwear, body spray, tuna and LED bulbs.
On March 20 at 2:49 p.m., officers were called to South Sunflower County Hospital where a Henderson Street woman said that her boyfriend, a Kim Herman Cove man, assaulted her.
On March 20 at 3:56 p.m., a Garrard Avenue woman said that her friend, a North Sunflower Avenue woman, stole her clothes which included eight pieces valued at $77.
On March 20 at 6:26 p.m., a U.S. Highway 82 West woman said that someone damaged her water meter in the 400 block of West Gresham Street. She also reported a stolen toilet valued at $300 and stolen hand tools valued at $500.
On March 21 at 10:10 a.m., a Second Street man said there was a white 2004 Ford Crown Victoria abandoned on the side of the road with a flat tire on North Davis Circle. The owner was determined to be a West Carroll Drive, Horn Lake man.
On March 21 at 10:44 a.m., a Hough Avenue woman said that her neighbor threatened to cut her. Another Hough Avenue woman is also named as a victim. A U.S. Highway 82 West woman and a Hough Avenue woman are listed as the suspects.
On March 21 at 3:55 p.m., a Birdsong Street woman said that her neighbor, a Brantley Circle woman has been threatening her 15-year-old daughter. A Brantley Circle woman is also listed as a suspect.
On March 21 at 8:04 p.m. a caller told police that someone had taken a propane tank from a cage in the 200 block of Second Street.
On March 21 at 9:19 p.m., a Chapman Street man said that a Depot Avenue man has been harassing him and threatening to kill him.
On March 21 at 11:10 p.m., a woman said that a truck hit two vehicles on Church Avenue and kept going. A Modern Lane woman and a Modern Lane man are named as a complainant and owner respectively.

On Friday at 4:52 p.m., an Airport Road woman said that an Elizabeth Road, Elizabeth man has been harassing her.
On Friday at 6:22 p.m., a Spruce Street woman said that her brother, a Spruce Street man, has been stealing things out of her home and selling them. So, she no longer wants him at her house. She reported a $400 PlayStation 3, a $22 PlayStation game and a $140 weed eater as stolen.
On Friday at 5:43 p.m., a man said someone stole his money out of his home in the 900 block of Broadmoor Drive.
On Saturday at 12:44 p.m., someone called to report shots fired in the 200 block of Janet Davis Circle. Three people, a Janet Davis Circle woman, a Janet Davis Circle man and a North-Southwest Plaza woman, are the reported victims. A Janet Davis Circle man is the reported suspect. Several witnesses and others are named in the report. Multiple items were seized and taken into evidence including a Ruger .380 handgun and a Ruger 6 round magazine. A 2016 Toyota Highlander valued at $25,000 was also recovered.
On Sunday at 12:42 a.m., an Ethel Waters Drive woman, in a 2013 Chrysler 300, said someone hit and damaged her vehicle in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 82 East.
On Sunday at 2:18 a.m., officers were called to the South Sunflower County Hospital emergency room where a nurse said that a Patricia Street woman said someone jumped her on Church Avenue. However, she did not have any serious injuries. A Spoonbill Court woman is named as the suspect.
On Sunday at 12:18 p.m., officers were called to South Sunflower County Hospital because of shots fired and found that a Campbell Drive man possibly shot himself in the leg or foot. The man was reportedly in a 2009 Nissan Altima.
On Sunday at 12:49 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of West Gresham Street because a West Gresham Street woman said that another woman was creating a disturbance in her home. The other woman was reportedly driving a 2021 Nissan.
On Sunday at 2:37 p.m., a Gillespie Drive woman said that a Gillespie Drive man threatened to shoot her and she wants to file a report.
On Sunday at 8:26 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Gillespie Drive because a Gillespie Drive man said that his 15-year-old grandson, a Fifth Avenue boy, stole his 9mm SCCY handgun, valued at $267, and left the residence.
On Sunday at 11:08 p.m., a Delta Blues Street woman said that her Smith & Wesson 9mm MP Shield gun was missing and presumed stolen.
