An impressive Gentry High School Rams basketball season came to an end last Saturday in Carthage.
Competing in the quarterfinals of the State 4A Playoffs, the Rams dropped a 65-42 decision to a talented Leake County Gators squad.

Seeing their season end with a strong 25-8 record, the Region 3-4A champion Rams’ trip through the 4A State Playoffs came to a halt only one victory shy of reaching Final Four competition.
The season would also end for the Leake County High Gators this past Monday when they lost their Final Four clash with Raymond High School.

The 4A title game occurs today and will feature a hot Clarksdale High squad taking on Raymond High School for the championship gold ball.
Ironically, the Rams defeated the Wildcats from Clarksdale three times this season; most recently in the Region 3 Tournament championship game.
As for the Rams, there were eight seniors wearing their Gentry High uniforms for the final time last Saturday at Leake County High School.
The list of the high-performing seniors includes DeAndre Briscoe, Laderrius Love, Chris Minton, Marcus Stubbs, Pharheim Washington, Jakevius White, Tyler Williams, and Jakevious Winston.
