In search of another softball win, the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels will have ample opportunity to earn it during the upcoming week.
A busy week of action begins Saturday when Carroll Academy comes to Chism Park for junior varsity and varsity matchups.
First pitch for the JV match is set for 10 a.m., with the varsity team following at 11 a.m.
Additional non-district action continues for the 1-10, 1-4 Lady Colonels next Monday with another home-field date.
It will be Central Holmes Christian School of Lexington coming to Chism Park for a 6:30 p.m. game.
A return to District 1-4A action will then occur next Tuesday when the IA squad travels to Holly Springs to take on the defending state champion Marshall Academy Lady Patriots.
Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
In their most recent softball action this past Tuesday night at Kirk Academy in Grenada, the Lady Colonels suffered an 18-7 loss to the Lady Raiders.
IA’s eight-hit attack was led by doubles off the bats of Kelly Arrington, Julia Davis, and Aubri Rybolt.
