Chairman Buster Holloway wants to thank all 36 teams who participated in this year's celebration. The Lions Club wants to especially thank all the merchants who donated prizes that were given out in a drawing at the Saturday night banquet. These prizes greatly added to the success of the tournament.
Thanks also to the merchants who sponsored a hole for this year's event: Lost Pizza; Planters Bank; Community Bank; Delta South Motors; Southern Bancorp; Sunflower Lumber Co.; Guaranty Bank; Kirk Bros.; Bateman Greenlee/Morgan McDowell; Innvictis; Delta Irrigation; and Wade, Inc.
The Indianola Lions Club was founded in July of 1945, and they own their own building where they have their meetings. The funds from the golf tournament are contributed to the following programs: Lions Sight Conservation; Leader Dog Training; Lions Eye Bank; White Cane Days; and scholarships to students at Indianola Academy and Gentry High School.
