Sporting an 8-17 overall record and 1-9 in the MACCC, the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans baseball team hosts Copiah-Lincoln Community College, 16-16 overall and 4-4 in the MACCC, on Good Friday. First pitch is at 1 p.m. for the doubleheader at the Jimmy Bellipanni Baseball Complex.
The Trojans split with Southwest (15-22 overall and 3-7 in the MACCC) last weekend taking game one, 16-6 but fell in game two, 15-1. Alford Hill had three hits and four RBIs in the game one win. Kevin Hill picked up the win giving up eight hits and six runs but struck out seven over 6 2/3 innings. J.P. Allen came on in relief giving up one hit, one walk and striking out three. The Trojans had 15 hits in game one.
The Trojans begin April on the road with a doubleheader at Holmes on Wednesday, April 3, and then travel to East Central on Saturday, April 6.
