Dear editor,
I wanted to publicly thank the committee that selected me for the 2024 Morris Lewis Jr Citizen of the year.
I was truly surprised to be selected and honored to be apart of the assembly of individuals that have been chosen in years past.
I am not a Delta native but moved to Indianola 22 years ago for a business opportunity in the Delta region.
My family had to decide on where we wanted to live, and a good friend recommended Indianola. And there the story begins.
Tom Gresham and Randy Randall were very instrumental in helping us get settled into our new community. For that I am very grateful. My children were raised in Indianola and have achieved personal success from their childhood experiences, education, church, friendships, and love of the Delta dirt and have now made their own decisions to live in the Delta region.
The community of Indianola has given so much to our family and for that reason it is only right and fitting to give back. Together as a community we can help each other achieve success.
